Old Tacoma, or Old Town as it's more frequently called, is in Tacoma's North End along Commencement Bay. This is the site of the original settlement by city founder Job Carr in 1865. In fact, several historic landmarks still stand: The Spar is the city's oldest saloon and St. Peter's Church is the oldest building in Tacoma. Old Town today is quite small and made up mostly offers well established homes and condos for sale. The community has a mix of its own businesses, coffee shops, and concerts in the park, but conveniently adjoins the Stadium District and downtown, as well.
