Tenino

Tenino is a small city in western Washington with a population of about 1,700. It is a part of Thurston County and is located between Olympia, the state capital, and Centralia. Neighbors are other small communities such as Grand Mound, Rochester, Rainier, and Yelm. Tenino remains a largely agricultural community, typical of this open prairie-like part of the state. Homes for sale here are about the same age as the county and state averages. Land and lot sizes are often generous, though it is still a convenient trip to more populated areas such as Olympia and Tacoma, as the average commute is just 28 minutes.
